Baltimore Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
On Wednesday October 9, 2002 a 38 member delegation from the Tampa
Florida Chamber of Commerce (TCC) arrived in Baltimore to learn
about Baltimore City's "Best Practices". The TCC asked
Luis Borunda, President of the Baltimore Hispanic
Chamber of Commerce to present the welcoming remarks at a luncheon
held in their honor at the Raddison Hotel in Baltimore. "It
is a privilege to speak to this business delegation from Tampa.
The Baltimore Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is gaining a reputation
for getting things done!" Mr. Borunda stated. Attending the
luncheon was also Bill Villanueva, Vice-President of the Baltimore
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

The great Baltimore landmark, being developed in front of our own
eyes continues unabated. More and more Hispanic businesses are moving
in and the press continues to show a great deal of interest in the
project. Spanish Town Community Development LLC is spearheading
the development and already the term "Spanish Town" has
caught on and more people are using it for the area.
