The
Hispanic Officers Law Enforcement Association (HOLA)
The latest and, possibly the most dynamic of the Baltimore
Hispanic groups, HOLA celebrated its First Annual Fiesta on Saturday
October 26, 2002 at the VFW Hall on Harford Road in Baltimore.
More than 300 persons attended the event. Felix
Pichardo, the up and coming taylor and designer put in
a fashion show which was enthusiatically applauded. Enrique
Rivadeneira, owner of the Latin Palace catered the event
to the delight of the audience, as the excellent Spanish food he
regularly serves at the Palace, was offered again at this Fiesta.
Las Mambo Mamis, a unique all ladies mambo group
enchanted the audience with a great performance. And the
Champion Dance Company presented its excellent young dancers
in a medley of classic Hispanic music. Pedro Guilarte,
the Colombian DJ used his talents wisely providing a great variety
of Hispanic music. And the DJ King Tutt provided
the club music so en vogue lately.
Congratulations
to all of the above and, in particular to Danny Santos
and Rufino Garcia for their leadership of HOLA
and the very impressive organization of the event.
Those who are interested in the workings of Hispanic
