| Next year, 2006, Maryland will hold elections for Governor. Baltimore's Mayor Martin O'Malley (see his biography here) has decided to run for the job. The Hispanic community of Baltimore is behind him for his many accomplishments on behalf of our community. A group of Hispanics have formed "Amigos de O'Malley" to help deliver his message, help him in his quest for the job and organize fund-raisers to counteract the massive funds available to the Republican Governor.
The group will have meetings, strategy sessions and get togethers to develop a strong Hispanic community presence in the O'Malley's campaign.

El año próximo, 2006, Maryland elegirá de nuevo a su gobernador. Martín O'Malley, alcalde de Baltimore (lea aquí su biografía en inglés) ha decidido presentarse como candidato. La comunidad hispana de Baltimore está con él por todo lo que ha hecho por nuestra comunidad. Un grupo de hispanos ha fundado los "Amigos de O'Malley" para ayudarle a distribuir su mensaje, ayudarle en su candidatura para el cargo y organizar recaudaciones de fondos para contrarrestar la superioridad financiera del gobernador republicano.
El grupo se reunirá para determinar estrategia y para expandir la presencia hispana en la campaña política de O'Malley.
